Thailand, 28 June 2024 – Jungceylon Shopping Center, one of Phuket’s largest shopping malls, officially unveiled its new look at the opening ceremony this evening, following a comprehensive Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI) that began in 2022. Located in Patong, the transformed mall has been repositioned as “The Oasis of Shopping in Patong”. The AEI is in line with CDL’s asset rejuvenation strategy, which focuses on enhancing its assets to drive performance.

With 80% of the mall’s shoppers being international tourists, Jungceylon Shopping Center has curated targeted marketing strategies to attract this key segment, including the growing Free Independent Travelers (FIT) group. For the second half of 2024, a marketing budget of over THB 60 million has been allocated for exciting promotions and initiatives, which aim to enhance the vibrancy of the mall by offering compelling experiences for all shoppers.

Alongside Jungceylon’s revamp, the hotel adjoining the mall, formerly known as Millennium Resort Patong Phuket, has also undergone a makeover and rebranded as M Social Phuket. The 418-room trendy hotel features the inclusion of an AI-voice-controlled assistant in all rooms and suites, allowing all guests to effortlessly control IoT-enabled lighting, air conditioning and smart TVs in their room by simply using their voice. M Social Phuket is the first M Social hotel in Thailand, and the sixth worldwide.

Located in the heart of the bustling Patong neighbourhood in Phuket, Jungceylon Shopping Center has undergone an extensive THB 1 billion revamp.

Mr Prawit Janyasittikul, Chief Executive Officer of Phuket Square Co., Ltd., which manages Jungceylon, said, “We are delighted to mark Jungceylon’s new chapter with the completion of the AEI, which includes a full transformation of the mall, from refreshed and reconfigured spaces to new retail concepts. The development and renovation plan began in 2022, covering over 200,000 sqm with an investment of over THB 1 billion. The shopping mall now boasts over 300 stores fully operational across all four distinct zones, each thoughtfully decorated with nature themes to evoke a sense of freshness and relaxation. Given the mall’s proximity to the recently rebranded M Social Phuket, we are expecting increased shopper traffic and healthy tenant sales. Both developments synergistically revitalise Patong Beach vicinity, infusing it with colours and vibrancy that pulsate through the area.”

Boasting over 300 stores across four distinct zones, Jungceylon is a shopper’s haven that offers a refreshed shopping and lifestyle experience. The four zones are (i) The Jungle Zone, (ii) The Botanica Zone, (iii) The Bay Zone, and (iv) The Garden Zone.
